This European model of the E24 6 series was delivered to Italy in October 1980. It was spec’d from new with the desirable factory sports options of 5 speed Getrag gearbox and limited slip differential. European E24s were more powerful than American export models plus they did not have catalytic converters fitted. As a late 1980 model it was one of the first to gain Bosch Motronic ignition which was introduced in the E24 that year. A recent compression test shows that the engine is healthy on all 6 cylinders and it has covered only 76,000 km.
The car retains its original BBS alloy wheels and also has other factory options such as air conditioning and full leather interior. Power steering was fitted as standard. It is rust free with no modifications and comes with its original service book and owner’s manual.
